When Chip Conley was first dubbed a “Modern Elder” by Airbnb’s CEO Brian Chesky, he hated it. Our collective impression of being an “elder” is an association to being old, and he didn’t want to be branded as the old guy. But Chip reclaimed and is helping change the way we all view aging. He embraced his role as an elder to his mentees.
